About Nahrun Kabirun
|

The Shire of Nahrun Kabirun is the Las Cruces, New Mexico, chapter of Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international, non-profit educational organization devoted to the study and re-creation of the fun parts of the Middle Ages (pre-17th century). The SCA world is divided into regions called Kingdoms. Nahrun Kabirun is part of the Kingdom of the Outlands, which encompasses all of New Mexico, most of Colorado, and parts of Wyoming, Nebraska, and Texas.
The populace of Nahrun participates in various martial activities (heavy weapons melee, period fencing, and period archery) and Arts and Sciences activities (music, dance, armor making, leatherworking, sewing, cooking, heraldry, calligraphy/illumination, storytelling, etc.). We host a yearly SCA event, Clann War, in the summer and demonstrate our skills at the Las Cruces Renaissance Craft Faire each November. We also hold smaller, informal social gatherings, practices, and workshops. Come join us and experience the fun and camaraderie of the SCA.
